Volunteering Overview

Harmony Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit organization for animals. We take in animals from the surrounding counties on a case by case basis. Our goal is to
help rehabilitate the animals and move them into forever homes or other rescues who find them a forever home.
Volunteers are needed at various times
to assist Harmony Rescue with this process.

Rules and Guidelines

We take volunteering very seriously. Rules and guidelines are set up to ensure the safety for everyone and the animals. It is imperative that these rules and guidelines are followed:
  1. You must have your own transportation
  2. Be on time
    • Call Harmony Rescue (434.821.3544) if you cannot make it or you are going to be late.
  3. Wear old clothes and closed tip shoes. NO flip flops or sandals
  4. Check in and out with the Harmony Rescue Staff
    • On any given day, the amount of animals or the status of animals can change.
  5. Follow the Volunteer lists of tasks. This list usually takes up to 2 hours.

When there is free time, it's all about spending time with the dogs/cats and building relationships with them.
